My new studio home

After 20+ years in professional and student tv newsrooms, I have made the leap to full-time academia. In June 2018, I received my Ph.D. in Urban Studies (concentrations of community development and urban media) from Portland State University, and now teach at California State University, Fresno, also known as Fresno State.

I get to play in this studio now! I've been told it's the largest dedicated tv studio space in Fresno. Sweet!

I get to pass along the director title to the next generation, plus get reporters, videographers, editors, producers, filmmakers, documentarians, and other media makers on the path towards their chosen careers.

It's #HowWeMCJ!
